Coney on Leave in Canada

For his post deployment Unit leave Coney travelled with Wuffy from Ft Bragg NC, to Nashville TN, to Oakland CA and finally to Spokane WA by air and then took the Greyhound bus up to Kamloops BC, Canada.

Nicki Bear Collects Recipes ... and fresh fruit

Nicki Bear arrived with a large recipe book for collecting recipes. Her interest in the garden and orchard is gaining her a lot of pie baking activity.

Last week she found some ripe strawberries and a large rhubarb patch. This week she has started on the cherries.

Lucky-Ducky swims through Iowa with Frogger

Lucky-Ducky and Frogger took a road trip to Iowa and although they enjoyed the beauty of the rocky mountains they got really excited about all the puddles in Iowa.

Their travel journals contains information on Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado and the Platte River Archway in Nebraska.

Morado as Voyager of the Week
This is Morado a previous winner of Voyager of the Week.Morado has clocked up more than 21,000 miles on his journey so far. Part of a family of six, he started out from New Mexico, heading up through America into Canada. From there he zipped across to Germany for a short stay before moving on to Japan and then Russia! His journey not only looks great on the map, but also looks brilliant in photos (these are just a few) - courtesy of some excellent hosting from ToyVoyagers members. Congratulations to everybody involved in the journey so far - we look forward to more!

Picado as Voyager of the Week
This is Picado a previous winner of Voyager of the Week.Picado is one of the famous Travelling Conejo family. The Conejos are famed for their adventurous nature, and ability to fit in with any situation: 'Coney' is with the US Army in Iraq, and his other siblings are travelling far and wide on their own personal journeys. Picado has travelled to Australia and Switzerland (see bottom picture for an amazing mountain landscape), visiting willow and annbear, but is currently travelling on the USATVT (which his mentor, wourpet, organises and manages). He's already seen New Mexico, Oregon, Virginia and Florida. He has a couple more states to see before he goes to seek adventure elsewhere. One thing is certain, where there is fun to be had, and places to see, Picado - or one of his brothers or sisters - will be there, flying the flag for the USA with his intrepid adventures.

We had a little party today!!!

We had some snacks and water to drink and a lot to laugh about, of course. Dogs became friends with cats, a turtle with a kangaroo, a monkey with a moose and more.

My host's girls threw me a goodbye-party along with their furry friends. After 7 months with this family it's time for me to go home. They have been truly nice to me and showed many different places - as you can see from the photos. I'm sad to leave them but happy to go home to tell about my adventures personally (and give the souvenirs I bought). Maybe I'll meet these people again someday, at least I hope I do. My host wants to say something too:"

Soar, Ruzovacek and Helen Bear were all here for Thanksgiving Dinner today. Soar, the American Eagle, had filled the others in on what thanksgiving was all about and then warned them about eating too much. His warning went unheeded and the 3 of them dozed off before they even got to taste the pumpkin pie. Helen Bear is visiting from England and Ruzovacek is here from Czechoslovakia. Soar flew in from Missouri.

Picado Mountain Climbing in the Alps

Florence completed one of her life missions today and attended Oktoberfest in Germany. Morado is currently staying with the same host so they both went.

"Today I went to Oktoberfest. First I had to take the subway to get there. And it was so crowded already ..... there are masses of people going there. Then - the real thing. It is so huge, you cannot imagine. I got some photos outside of the Oktoberfest. Inside the tents everybody has fun, drinking a lot of beer, singing, dancing on the benches .... can you believe that one tent can hold several thousand persons? "

Coney enjoying his leave

Coney has been enjoying his leave with visits to Aztec Ruins National Monument, travels through the Canyonlands of Utah and the San Juan Skyway in Colorado.

Coney and Rosa were on hand to welcome the new guests that have just arrived from Iowa. Froddo hopped over from Australia and Daisy Duck is visiting America from Great Britain. Both of these voyagers are traveling the US Toy Voyagers Trail.

It was discovered soon after they arrived that it is the second trip to New Mexico in the past few months. They were recently visiting at Red River.

Updates from Coney and all

Early this evening Coney called from Kuwait to let us know he will soon be arriving in New Mexico for his R&R before moving on to his next deployment. He will also be updating his travel log. Since we know where he currently is I thought it would be good to update on everyones activities.

Lucky-Ducky is enjoying an extended stay in Finland but is quite busy and updates his travelog frequently.

Florence the flighty flamingo from Florida was supposed to have left Prague and headed to Germany a few weeks ago but she has not reported in yet. Hopefully she has not gotten lost and we look forward to a travel log update.

Picado last reported in from Singapore and was leaving to go to Switzerland. We are waiting to hear news of his arrival and an update to his travel log.

Morado has arrived safely in Munich and will likely meet up with Florence when she arrives there. He will update his travel log soon.

Blanche is still staying with her host in Indiana but has travelled around to New York and Chicago and seems to be having a lot of fun. She has a lengthy post of photos on her travel log.

Azul is still missing and has not called home or checked in since he wandered off at the July 4th parade. There are no current updates in his travel log.

Rosa is winding down from her travels with Ballet Cindy and hosting other guests. She enjoyed her travels to Utah and Colorado and was excited to be made voyager of the week on Toy Voyagers. Her travel log has lots of info.

Rosa comes from a distinguished family of ToyVoyagers: she is one of six , the famous Travelling Conejo's of New Mexico.

Thanks to their mentor, wourpet, all six Conejo siblings are proving 'ones to watch' on our View Voyagers screens.

With brothers in Canada, Iraq (with the U.S.Army), and Singapore, another brother who has run off solo in search of adventure, and a sister just preparing to visit ToyVoyager Hosts, Rosa stays at home, showing us the sights and welcoming visiting ToyVoyagers.

Here she is with an 'earthship', an eco-friendly home made of recycled materials.

We wish her and her siblings well, and lots more adventures. We look forward to the Conejo family reunion when they are all safely back from their individual journeys.

Florence visits Prague

We were happy to receive some photos from Coney yesterday. It appears he's been quite busy.

The fluffy white guy he met up with on base is Wuffy II and although not a Toy Voyager, he will be spending some time in Iraq before returning Stateside.

Henry the Pooch explores ghost towns and climbs into volcano

Henry has had an incredibly adventurous week. After viewing the site of the Ludlow Massacre he viewed the ruins of several old ghost towns. He climbed over the rim of the Capulin volcano in New Mexico and descended down into the core at the bottom of the crater. At Cokedale he viewed the old ovens used to process the coal.

Rain temporarily stalls the Adventurers

Rosa, Budd and Henry patiently wait inside the travel trailer for the rain to end so they can get back outside.

Henry had fun exploring old ruins near the site of the Ludlow Massacre in Colorado and an extinct volcano in New Mexico. Budd enjoyed plenty of awesome scenery along the Sangre de Cristo mountains range, tended the campfire and went fishing in Trinidad Lake, while Rosa toured the town of Trinidad, Colorado and did some shopping.

I had a warm welcome from Taro the bear from Japan, Alfie Langer and CK the 2 Australian guys and Pooh from Taiwan as well as from my hosts. I'm really looking forward to my stay here in Austria. As far as I know they have alot of water here - hope to see some soon because it is really hot here, about 35 °C!

Azul is off on his own. He was very helpful this afternoon and evening and helped put a float together for the Freedom Days parade.

Yippee! I am so glad to be out of that package. The flight was marvy but it was a bit dark in there. The crew only came round once with p-nuts and you know how hungry I can get on long flights.
My host has treated me to a welcoming party when I arrived and I got to meet some other toyvoyagers and was finally reunited with my brother Morado. What a great day it is.
Oregon is beautiful and I am already having a great deal of fun.

Well, I finally made it to Oregon. Not a bad voyage at all. A little dark in that envelope but not too scary for a rabbit. Upon arrival we stopped at the local town sign where I was visiting. My host is a funny one and told me to just "hang out" for a minute and she would take my photo with the sign. I didn't think she really ment "just hang there" but evidentally she did as before I knew it---there I was---hanging. Then we arrived at the home of my host. Inside, I was greeted with a wild and crazy welcome by this purple thing called an O-Rang. Her name is "Jelly" and once she calmed down a bit we became better aquainted. She looooooves purple and when she saw me she had to give me a kiss and a big Jelly Hug!

Hello! What a great day! I arrived in

Picado has enjoyed a few months down under in Melbourne. He has been to the gym for a few work outs and has shopped in a few centres mainly for winter clothes . He likes to talk to the cat Neddy and dislikes the dogs barking . He enjoys watching Aussie Rules Football on cable TV . He did watch professional footballers .
He told me he is ready to move on and would like to go up North for Winter .

Who is Ahumado?

Ahumado Conejo-- or "Coney" was picked up by Hale while traveling in Springerville Arizona. Hale, and the rest of the gang have made a variety of decisions about traveling the world and seeing the sights but Ahumado has decided to join the army and fight for our freedom from terrorism.

After traveling from Springerville to Farmington, New Mexico, he has made this his home town and is all set start his career as a soldier.
